Head of Pricing opportunity to permanently join our Pricing & Underwriting Leadership Team.
 
What you’ll be doing:
Reporting to Pricing, Underwriting & Customer Data Director, the Head of Pricing will lead the Ireland Pricing team to deliver the financial targets for all classes of business, channels and territories.

• Account Governance - Control the financial performance by implementing an effective Pricing function and ensure that rating governance and control is robust. Identify emerging risks and implement action plans.
• Rating Control - Propose and ensure sign-off of annual profitability targets by Executive Pricing Forum on an annual basis
• Pricing Efficiency & Sophistication - Monitor developments in pricing techniques within the Irish and wider market and develop plan to adopt as required
• Develop and maintain Pricing relationship with the UK and Globally - Lead Pricing projects within UK and Ireland
• Member of the Leadership team, contribute to overall company strategy and work with other members of the leadership team to ensure that annual company objectives are met
• Gain support from wider leadership to increase pricing sophistication and implement changes into live production environment.
• Manage and develop team of approx. 20 Pricing professionals.

About You
What we’re looking for:

• Fellow of Society of Actuaries in Ireland, having 5+ years of post-qualification experience in pricing role (or equivalent for non-Actuary).
• Strong experience in people management
• Strong General Insurance background and familiarity with best corporate practices
• Strong commercial acumen
• Excellent communication and influencing skills
• Displays leadership qualities and people management skills

This role is an allocated Controlled Function under Fitness & Probity Regime, which means the successful candidate will be subject to an enhanced level of background screening requirements.
