Many actuaries are now recognising that a role in actuarial recruitment is a viable alternative, offering long-term career prospects, a flexible working environment and autonomy over your career direction. You will be continually exposed to technical actuarial concepts as well as significantly raising your profile within the profession. Careers paths will include a choice of a springboard to your next actuarial role, particularly consulting and reinsurance, or progressing to a senior/country manager within our Group.

The actuarial qualification and specialist experience is highly portable and the qualification has mutual recognition around the world. In addition the supply of actuarial and risk management skills in many countries is small and there has been significant demand for skills from around the world. We anticipate significant growth in the global actuarial market and the global financial crisis has further focussed demand on risk management skills.

Acumen Resources currently have offices in London, Dublin and Sydney and intend to open two further offices early in 2010 - one in Continental Europe and the second in Asia.

You could be nearly qualified or have 10 years post-qualified experience - your level of qualification isn’t as important as the skills you will bring to the role, with remuneration to match your contribution.
