Actuarial Systems Modeller

Qualified Actuarial Analyst required for a leading Insurance Consultancy. This role focuses on System Modelling with the responsibility for the development and support of pension liability asset and risk models.
Responsibilities:
• The development work includes hands-on programming and design work pro-active consultation with key stakeholders (e.g. actuarial, investment and longevity consultants, quants, IT)
• Assisting with test, deployment and support activities where appropriate
• Existing expertise in any technology is less important than being able to demonstrate the aptitude, for building actuarial models.
• Work closely with all disciplines in the team (actuaries, analyst programmers, database experts and project managers).
• The ability to build a credible understanding of the actuarial modelling and risk analytics matters relevant to particular projects.
• Previous modelling experience or experience in a particular modelling technology matters less so than the aptitude to apply that experience to new situations using emerging technologies.
You will need to be a Qualified Actuary. With some experience in using MoSes or a similar actuarial modelling platform including both design work and coding is essential.
