Commercial Pricing & Analytics Manager

The purpose of this role is to support and build a commercially sound Direct Life product and modelling capability. This will involve a wide range of related activities, including demand modelling, competitor analysis, technical risk cost pricing, retention modelling and other analyses. The role will encompass both a hands-on approach to the modelling work as well as a high degree of stakeholder management.
As the ideal candidate, you will have exceptional experience in pricing, preferably in a direct life business environment, have pursued qualifications in an actuarial, mathematical or statistical discipline, experience in a demanding and elasticity modelling incorporating competitor information, experience with SAS and Emblem preferred, strong interpretation and analysis of financial statements and fundamental understanding of the key profit drivers for Direct Life Insurance portfolio
Key softer skills you will demonstrate include strong communication skills both written and verbal with the ability to negotiate at high level, experience of project management, strong business analysis coupled with commercial acumen, sound organisational skills and superior technical skills.
