Description:
The role holder will be responsible for the Investment strategy for a designated group of UK Life funds as well as generic issues that cut across more than one of the fund groups and will monitor the investment performance of designated funds using their investment and actuarial skills.
You’ll be responsible for recommending changes in investment strategy to better meet the objectives of the Fund in terms of asset allocation, benchmark, risk budget, investment process, style and manager selection having regard to customer expectations, performance objectives and ALM input.
You will need to develop a detailed knowledge and understanding of specialised investment areas and monitor/recommend improvements for e.g. securities finance, liquidity funds, Investment Management Agreements.
You’ll consider the range of conventional investments and derivative strategies as appropriate in looking for improvements.
You are likely to be a qualified, or near qualified, actuary with investment or specialised long-term savings experience. You will have a full knowledge and understanding of investment issues and performance drivers relevant to the Life business. |
